Can I be a coach?

Yes!  We are actively seeking coaches for all age groups.  All coaches are required to undergo a background check, complete concussion training, Trust Coaches training, and complete an application. 

How are coaches selected?

Coaches are chosen based on several criteria, including their coaching experience, football expertise, and skill at connecting with players. OYF especially values professionalism and the positive representation of GSFL, OYF, and the key communities of Osseo, Brooklyn Park, and Maple Grove.

If interested, complete application when you register your player.

  • OYF Coaches Clinic – August TBS at Osseo High School
• Attend GSFL Coaches Meeting – Required Preseason Coaches Meetings
  • 3rd – 8th Grade Coaches Meeting – August TBD
• A minimum of 2 coaches per team must be recognized as Trusted Coaches or an equivalent program that provides verified concussion certification, child abuse prevention training, background checks, and FREE GSFL coaches training module, prior to first game.
